Location: Kamloops, BC (Work from home)

Direct Report: Area Manager  

 

Canada West Land Services is looking for a teammate in the Kamloops area to support our operations remotely. CWL is seeking a dynamic individual with a strong administrative support background to support our field staff. Role and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to;

 

Maintain project timeframes, objectives and communication

25% Allocation

  • Effective communication and task acknowledgement
  • Submit, track, and follow up on requests
  • Time entries for tasks are detailed and completed in a timely manner following CWL guidelines

 

General administration

50% Allocation

  • Analyze all documents associated with a task prior to starting and identify any areas where you require additional assistance
  • Preparation of documents
  • File preparation
  • All documents provided for audit (including Excel worksheets) are formatted for printing
  • Consistent and accurate data entry
  • Formatting reporting and line lists to show a professional and consistent product
  • Completion of check list for task
  • Following the CWL naming convention or Client’s if the project requires

 

Project support

25% Allocation

  • Consistent follow up and documentation of project needs
  • Investigate possible solutions with prior examples, notes, reviewing regulations online, etc. prior to reaching out to the Area Manager for answers

 

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years’ experience in administration
  • Has an administration diploma/degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills – proven ability to navigate complex situations in an effective way
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in oil and gas, forestry, municipal/government administration or small business management would be considered an asset
  • Commitment to a high standard of work and care for client satisfaction
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills
