H3M Environmental is growing client-focused company providing services to municipal, industrial, indigenous, mining, metals, renewables and oil & gas customers throughout western Canada.  We are seeking a professionally driven Intermediate Municipal Water Management Specialist to help us deliver turnkey water, wastewater and stormwater solutions.

 

The Intermediate Municipal Water Management Specialist is highly skilled in project management, critical thinking, collaboration and communication, problem solving, technical data analysis, and report writing. The incumbent is primarily responsible for taking on a leadership role in the design, build and commission treatment and disposal solutions for municipal, indigenous and government clients. 

 

Working with our Director of Environmental Services, you will have the opportunity to join a motivated and collaborative team environment that values innovation, teamwork and professional growth.  This is a leadership-track position with exceptional upside for the right individual to play a very important role in our continued growth and portfolio diversification.

 

Role and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage projects and client relationships while delivering innovative and cost-saving strategies that help our clients achieve the lowest life-cycle cost for their customers. 
  • Review technical specifications and RFP’s while taking a lead role in preparing designs, cost estimates and proposals. 
  • Work with our crackerjack sales and marketing team as we expand our reach to customers across western Canada through webinar, print and social media.

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or technology diploma in a water-related field with a background in physical, chemical and/or biological treatment is a must;
  • 5 – 10 years of progressive experience in water or wastewater management with an emphasis in evaluating risk and solving problems;
  • The ideal candidate with bring a blend of experience with proposal preparation, client-facing services, and project management;
  • Experience with the cleanup and optimization of pits, ponds, lagoons and reservoirs is an asset;
  • Knowledgeable of provincial and federal regulations and guidelines as they pertain to water management and licencing;
  • Valid Driver License; and
  • Member or eligible for membership with an relevant professional association (eg., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, etc.).
